Hey all,
Just wondering if anybody here is good with photoshop and would be willing to do me a little favor?
I just want to shop a particular lip from a Subaru Impreza WRX onto my Volvo XC70 to see if it'd even look ok. The front end of my car looks similar to an amphibious assault vehicle and am thinking that a lip might fix that. I've seen some Volvo folk use this lip on an S70 and an S60R with fantastic results but I'm worried that the front bumper curves too much.
The lip in question - !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!
The car (at as close to the same angle as I have) -

I'm gonna go with "Not a good idea."
1. Your ride height is higher.
2. Not a fan of those mods personally.
3. Maybe paint the trim white?

Gonna swap suspension with a regular V70 AWD, should drop the car a couple inches and be cheaper than XC parts to take care of the height issue.
Normally wouldn't be a fan of lip kits and such but I'm also not a fan of the way that front just curves upward.
Planning on using black pastidip around the entire car hopefully over summer.

Holy crap that's a great shoop job. Might skip the lip though, looks a bit silly sadly.
Thank you so much for taking the time to do this!
EDIT: I keep looking at it.... maybe it's growing slowly on me.

Forgive my ignorance, and I do totally understand being attached to a particular car, but why not just get a V70 then? I just can't imagine being like, "Hey everybody, I've got an XC70, which is basically a lifted V70! And the great thing about it is that it has the ride height of a V70!" Kind of a head scratcher to me.

The extra body cladding gives it a wider and beefier look than a normal V70, and with an AWD system that's pretty useless for offroading, the ride height isn't really necessary (for me at least (I know there are videos of these doing amazing stuff offroad but they destroy angle gears like it's their job when being worked like that)). Back when Volvo was on the p80 chassis, the v70XC came at almost the same height as a normal v70 and there was a package called the "sportswagon". Now it's a little tough to find what that means but that word is the central theme behind my XC, I want to build it up to 350AWHP, lower it, stiffen up the suspension, color match the trim for a widebody look and then take down the 1/4 mile and around the NJMP race track.
Helps that an XC70 was cheaper than any v70 in decent shape at the time of purchase.

Interesting. Out of curiosity, what are you planning for the engine to get it to 350? My wife's XC70 might need some of that....

And an ECU tune to increase the boost slightly/make all of those parts work better.

Probably just the t5 high pressure from an R model, nothing fancy.
